Study On The Regional Disparity Of Farmers' Income In Shandong Province

Since the revolution of reform and opening up, the reformation of the income distribution mechanism of our country has been deepening constantly. When the overall income level has significantly increased, the income gap between urban and rural areas, different regions and social groups has been constantly expanding. Since entering into the new century, Shandong province has achieved much progress in economic development; meanwhile it is confronted with some problems of the income distribution.Particularly,the problem that the expanded regional disparity of farmers’income of Shandong province is increasingly prominent. Shandong, a province of developed regions in Eastern China, is significant and large in economy, agriculture and population. If there existing overlarge regional disparity of farmers’ income in the province, the economic development and social harmony will be influenced, and then brings a negative effect to national economic and social development due to this. Therefore, the discussion on the regional disparity of farmers’income in Shandong province in deep respect has positive practical significance. On one hand, it can provide a certain reference for coordinating the relation between the income and distribution among regional residents. On the other hand, by virtue of this research, it can also give rise to more focus and research on the issue of regional disparity of residents’income in provinces of Eastern China in order to promote a more harmonious social relation.The paper, guided by Marxist Theory, combining with theory of income distribution system with Chinese characteristics, taking the farmers’ income disparity in four regions of Shandong province (East, middle, northwest and southwest of Shandong province)as its research object, adopts several research methods, such as document analysis, comparative analysis, combined measurement index, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis etc. It systematically explores and analyzes the disparity of farmers’income in the four regions of Shandong province and internal of each region from2000to2012.The findings reveal that since the beginning of the new century, four regional farmers’ income gap in Shandong province has been widening and is approaching to the income gap stage. So corresponding measures should be taken to control and narrow the gap between regional farmers’ income. At the same time, there are different levels of farmers’income in the cities of four regions in Shandong province which also needs to attach importance and adjust.Through further analysis of the reasons of regional farmers’ income gap, the influence factors of regional farmers’ income disparity in Shandong province is various, including subjective and objective factors. And Geographical conditions, cultural traditions, industrial structure, human capital level and Specific policy system are the main influence factors. According to the characteristics of regional farmers’ income disparity in Shandong province and the main causes, this article come up with the countermeasures of increasing farmers’ income in underdeveloped regions of Shandong province and narrowing the gap in regional farmers’ income on the basis of Marxist theory of income distribution.
