| With the deepening of the international financial crisis since 2008, we face a series of new challenges. With the gradual rise in labor costs and increasing government requirements for industrial upgrading, many enterprises in China have entered a period of transformation and upgrading of pain. Industry upgrade must need technological innovation-driven. As the one of the core competitiveness, technological innovation has become a key factor in business success or failure. In China, the old technological innovation model has been reflected in some aspects of the drawbacks. It also not good if just copy the Western management theories, methods, techniques. In the complex and dynamic external environment, Chinese enterprises want to achieve industrial upgrading, quality and efficiency, all of these request Chinese enterprises to improve the technological innovation management level.BASF is the largest chemical company in the world, was founded in Germany in 1865, in Ludwigshafen, and now just a full 150 years. In this paper, BASF’s technological innovation management were analyzed. Reviewed the key role of technological innovation in BASF’s 150-year history. Analyzed technological innovation strategy, technological innovation organizational, technological innovation process management and element management of BASF. Summarized the major technological innovation management features of BASF, including technological innovation strategy long-term continuity, verbund of technological innovation, mature technological innovation management system.Through in-depth analysis of BASF, combined with China’s actual situation of technological innovation management, we gave some suggestions and methods could be used to improve management of technological innovation. Hope to provide a useful reference for improving management level of technological innovation of Chinese enterprises.
