| Improving the level of urbanization development is essential for expanding domestic demand and maintaining economic growth. The logistics industry is closely related to the development of urbanization, directly affecting the development of urbanization. The logistics industry agglomeration has effectively accelerated the process of urbanization and promoted the level of urbanization development. It is one of the way to accelerate the speed of urbanization by developing the logistics industry agglomeration in middle area of China where the level of urbanization is not high. There is a certain relationship between the agglomeration effect of logistics industry and urbanization development. Therefore, the research of logistics industry agglomeration and urbanization development has important theoretical and practical meaning.This paper first discusses mechanism of the logistics industry agglomeration to urbanization, then measures the level of logistics industry agglomeration and the urbanization development and analyze the characteristics and status quo of logistics industry and urbanization development in middle area of China from 2003 to 2013. Thirdly, through panel data model of middle area of China, analyze empirically the impact of the logistics industry agglomeration on urbanization and on urbanization subsystem, and on urbanization of node cities. Further, analyze the impact of the development of logistics industry on urbanization. The empirical results show:1. the logistics industry agglomeration improves the overall level of urbanization development and the impact of logistics industry agglomeration on urbanization subsystem is different.2. In node cities, logistics industry agglomeration has significant impact on urbanization.3. Development of the logistics industry enhances the urbanization level.4. Multiple factors together influence urbanization development.Finally, on the basis of this paper, the relevant policy recommendations have been put forward. |
