Urbanization is the only way to the modernization and is an important driving force for building amoderately prosperous society and developing China into a great modern socialist country in all respects.Since the 18 th National Congress of the CPC the party central committee with Comrade Xi as the core guided by the vision of people-centered development,is actively promoting a new type of urbanization that puts people at the core,is strengthening the overall carrying capacity and the ability to optimize the allocation of resources for the central cities and urban agglomerations,is facilitating the transformation and upgrading of industrial structures and is accelerating the coordinated development of large,medium and small cities and towns.However,how to optimize the spatial layout of urbanization and to form an urban pattern with city clusters as the main body and large,medium and small cities and small towns developing in a coordinated way,the primary problem is to improve the transportation system,unblock logistics networks and strengthen the driving force of central cities.Secondly,the connection between small and medium-sized cities and logistics channels should be strengthened to form a logistics agglomeration with high efficiency,low cost and excellent service.Practical experience shows that only by unimpeded logistics channels can urban and rural integration and urban-rural integration be achieved,the effect of poverty alleviation be consolidated,and the rural economy be revitalized.Unimpeded logistics channel can improve the city’s ability to resist risks.The logistics agglomeration area promotes the formation and development of logistics agglomeration through the resource sharing effect,knowledge spillover effect and scale economy effect formed by the competition and cooperation among logistics enterprises,the complementary operation advantages,the provision of value-added services and the extension of the forward and backward relations.Logistics agglomeration formed among enterprises improves the logistics efficiency,reduces the logistics cost,increases the income,and promotes the innovation of logistics.According to the main indicators of population,economy,land and social urbanization,the entropy method is adopted to calculate the regional urbanization rate.Based on the panel data of prefecture-level and above cities from 2005 to 2017,the empirical analysis is carried out from the whole country,Eastern,Central and Western regions and large,medium and small graded cities.The results show that The scale of logistics spatial agglomeration,specialized agglomeration and diversified agglomeration as well as the collaborative agglomeration of logistics industry and manufacturing industry can basically promote the development of regional urbanization.Considering the different regions and different levels of urban logistics agglomeration come into being different influences on regional urbanization.This dissertation measures the threshold effect of logistics agglomeration on regional urbanization from the perspectives of urban population scale,urban area scale and economic development level.Taking the size of urban population,the area of municipal districts and the wage level of on-duty workers as threshold variables and the logistics spatial agglomeration scale,diversification,specialization and coordination agglomeration as the core explanatory variables,there is a significant threshold effect.Therefore,an in-depth analysis of the factors affecting logistics agglomeration and the promotion of logistics agglomeration development is an important content to promote the development of regional new-type urbanization.This dissertation is mainly innovative in the following aspects:Firstly,based on the theory of logistics agglomeration,taking logistics agglomeration effect as the entry point and regional urbanization as the dissertation objective,the present situation of logistics agglomeration and regional urbanization in China is analyzed.Logistics agglomeration and regional urbanization are integrated into a unified theoretical framework.The dissertation mainly studies the influence mechanism,influence direction,effect size,urban regional and grade difference of logistics agglomeration on regional urbanization.Secondly,starting from the significant influence of logistics spatial agglomeration scale,specialization agglomeration and diversification agglomeration on simple population urbanization,the significant positive influence on regional urbanization is further studied.At the same time,the dissertation studies the pillar industry agglomeration and the synergetics agglomeration of logistics industry and manufacturing industry also plays a significant role in the regional urbanization.Then,through the calculation of the threshold effect of logistics agglomeration on regional urbanization,it is concluded that there are significant differences in the impact of logistics agglomeration on regional urbanization with different city sizes and economic development levels.Thirdly,this dissertation uses multiple methods and multiple classification methods to carry out dissertation.Based on the data of cities at and above the prefecture level in China over the years,the Granger causality test method is adopted to test the correlation between logistics agglomeration and regional urbanization on the basis of considering the overall influence,urban region and grade difference.Drawing on the dissertation of other scholars,entropy method are used to measure the level of new urbanization in each city over the years.The influence of logistics agglomeration on regional urbanization is analyzed dynamically by means of generalized matrix method.The threshold effect test model is used to calculate the threshold effect of logistics agglomeration on regional urbanization.Finally,policy recommendations are put forward from the perspective of reasonably expanding the logistics spatial agglomeration scale,promoting the logistics specialization and diversification agglomeration,and strengthening the coordination agglomeration between logistics and manufacturing industry.
