Study On The Construction Of Modern Agriculture In Dongguan City

As one of the main production bases in Guangdong, Dongguan was once a large agricultural county. With the development of reform and opening up, Dongguan has developed rapidly and become the international manufacturing city. In the process of industrialization and urbanization, agricultural land has been reduced, and the rural labor force has been changed to the second and third industry. As a consequence, the agricultural products are in short supply in people’s lives, and the environment pollution has a great impact on the food safety. The development of traditional agriculture to modern agriculture has become an important part of Dongguan’s economy, but in the process of promoting the construction of modern agriculture, there are still many problems which need to be treated and solved seriously.After a comprehensive summary of many scholars’ studies, and on the basis of the characteristics of modern agriculture and the relevant theory and technology, the writer studied and analyzed the modern agriculture. Through the combination of literature review, field survey, comparative analysis, practical research, and the present domestic and foreign research as well as the development experience, the writer further explored the problems of building modern agriculture in Dongguan. Under the guidance of the spirit of the central NO.1 document and the market-oriented policy, the writer summed up the direction of the modernization of agriculture in Dongguan, and proposed suggestions to develop the modern agriculture in Dongguan in many fields, such as scientifically planning the modern agricultural park, strengthening the infrastructure construction, creating high-quality projects, developing leading enterprises, completing the security system and improving technology promotion.
