With the speedup of globalization of economics, more and more enterprises are looking for a brand new financial management mode. As a novel financial management mode, financial shared services are able to decrease the enterprise management costs, as well as improve the efficiency and quality of enterprise service, which draws lots of attention nowadays either in theory or practice. Due to the side effect from the shipping market, China’s shipping enterprises are dying for a huge change for the current financial management mode in order to develop the whole enterprises.This paper focuses on financial shared services, and analyses on the main existing problems in the financial management of shipping enterprises. Based on them, this paper proposes some suggestions to implement financial shared services mode. Then, in this paper, we emphasize on the importance to take the financial shared services mode into action, through studying on the experience of the successful financial shared services mode at home and abroad, and understanding the feasibility of making use of the financial shared services mode. After this study, we quantify the value of the financial shared services mode, and propose an suggesting model for implementing the financial shared services mode to help make decision on whether the financial shared services mode suits a certain enterprise or not. Last, we further our discussion on the idea to implement the financial shared services mode in the key areas. In this paper, we conclude that, the shipping enterprises, which has large scale of economies, the similar overall content management, and unified financial standard work, could make use of the financial shared services mode.
