As it continues to increase procurement expanding the scale of our university, campus infrastructure, teaching equipment, research equipment, as well as the quality requirements of the procurement universities are also increasing. Because of Government Purchase has high demand, government procurement universities face more severe challenges. After figuring out the situation of government procurement at universities field study, carding the causes of the problems, we will supply the according suggestions.In this paper, S University, for example, on the basis of theoretical analysis, its government procurement management work carried out in-depth analysis. Firstly, the research background and significance of the research, and a review of domestic and foreign scholars on the status of government procurement; secondly, the relevant concept and theory are summarized and summed up China’s government procurement and Universities Government Procurement development situation; once again, discusses the structure of government organizations architecture at the University of S procurement management status of government procurement process; Next, explores the S University government procurement management problems and underlying causes, and provides corresponding countermeasures.In this paper, the research fund that government procurement management S universities are not currently present in the full implementation of government centralized procurement, split budget, procurement procedures are not standardized, incomplete records management, lack of management, multiple procurement departments and other troubled assets. Meanwhile, the combination of theory and domestic and international experience, this paper argues optimization in government procurement management work, improve procurement efficiency, we should improve the construction of university government procurement management system; improve the government procurement process management; improve the supervision mechanism of government procurement; optimization institutional settings, the implementation of government procurement, centralized management; strengthen asset management, the establishment of centralized system for sharing device; gradually improve the government procurement performance evaluation system.
