Interbank business with transformation of commercial banks has got more and more attention and the size of entire interbank business is developing rapidly. The Industrial Bank is known as the King of Interbank business partly thanks to the Industrial Bank of innovation interbank business cooperation model and successfully built Bank-for-bank platform. Industrial Bank built Bank-for-bank platform in 2007,which was the first to launch a bank-for-bank brand. It broke traditional model between commercial banks that competition is more than cooperation and put forward the concept of Advantages Complementing and Resource Sharing. Industrial Bank and co-operative banks showed new situation of win-win cooperation and co-development. With Bank-for-bank platform payment business and technology export business to quickly build a nationwide network in order to promote the development of wealth management business and improve Intermediate business revenue Industrial Bank is achieving business transformation better. After several years of rapid development, Band-for-bank platform has become an important interbank business brand with brand advantages and customer base.With Bank-for-bank platform becoming more and more valuable some domestic banks began to develop bank-for-bank business. The situation of the current financial reform, interest rate liberalization, financial disintermediation and the rise of the Internet finance offers Bank-for-bank platform many opportunities and challenges. The main problem of this paper is Bank-for-bank platform how to optimize the strategy implementation to keep leading position in the market when facing intense competition within the industry and financial reform process. This paper uses strategic management methods and tools to analyse Bank-for-bank platform, combines with recent business development of Bank-for-bank platform. Then this paper summarizes the advantages in product system, risk management, organization and brand and disadvantages in allocation of resources and market segmentation as well and chooses future business development strategy. In the end this paper puts forward feasible suggestions in product development, marketing, mixed platform, spin-off and capital tie-up to optimize the implementation of specific strategies.
