Food safety incidents happened frequently make the food safety problems become one of the hot attention issues at home and abroad in recent years, the traceability system which enable tracing and tracking information is an important measure to reduce food safety incidents. There are many problems in the traceability system based on the food supply chain in the implementation process, which is the main cause of traceability system difficult to implement in our country. Established food traceability system from farm to table can largely standardize food planting、breeding and processing circulation enterprises, reduce or even eliminate the occurrence of food safety incidents, to regain consumer confidence, therefore, it is urgent for our country to implement food safety traceability system. In this paper, we put forward constructing the traceability system based on the food supply and demand network combining the characteristics of food supply and demand network and the elements of traceability system. Compare the possibility of food safety incidents in the food supply chain and the supply and demand network compare the possibility of food safety incidents, and analyzing the corporate profits whether input to construct the food traceability system based on food supply and demand network. The paper constructed the Nash game equilibrium model in food supply chain and the Pareto equilibrium model in food supply and demand network, then analysis the input level of food traceability system in the two cases. The traceability system based on the food supply and demand network not only can reduce the possibility of food safety incidents, but also can make enterprise obtain certain economic profits, which can improve the enthusiasm of enterprises in building the traceability system. Through the game analysis, in the food supply chain, enterprises will input a certain level in the traceability system under the constraints such as policies and regulations, but the input level is low. In the food supply and demand network, enterprises in the Pareto equilibrium model will input a higher level than the enterprises in the Nash equilibrium model.Food supply and demand network greatly can reduce the risk of traceability, even if any enterprise happen food safety incidents, the whole system will not out of control and more stability compared with the chain structure of supply chain. The traceability system based on food supply and demand network established by full cooperation, enterprise decides the investment level according to the overall interests of the food supply and demand network, which not only avoid repeated building the traceability system cost, but also make the enterprise investment optimal level. The traceability system based on food supply and demand network can speed up the enterprise’s response to market changes, accelerate the speed of information transmission, adjust the investment level of traceability system, and enhance the adaptability to the market. Food supply and demand network make the industry enterprise resources effectively to form integrated network of cooperation, the traceability system construction cost can greatly reduced, so as to accelerate the implementation of food safety traceability system in our country. The concept of food supply and demand network can provides a certain theoretical basis on accelerating the implementation of the traceability system in China. At the same time the concept can help Chinese enterprises deal with the relationship between food safety investment and economic benefits, reduce food safety risk, and promote the development of China’s food industry to the international advanced level.
