A Research On Guiyang Airport Logistics Based On Gravity Model And Field Intensity Model

As the domestic transportation conditions keeps improving, airport logistics, with its unique speediness, safety and convenience, plays an increasing important role among the five transportation systems of modern logistics. While airport logistics steps into its high speed development phase, industries related to it start to become the new pulling power of regional economic development.Renowned international airports includes the Memphis International Airport(“the world’s top logistics hub”), the Hong Kong International Airport( "the most outstanding cargo airport"), the Kansai International Airport(the "twenty-four hours non-stop international air cargo hub"), etc. Domestic airports famous by its rapid development in airport logistics are Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Beijing Capital International Airport and Xinzheng Hennan Airport, etc. Their successful experience in airport logistics can be set as examples to learn by Guiyang airport.The passenger throughput of Guiyang Longdongbao international airport exceeded ten million in 2013, which made it officially a member of the ten-million level busy airport club, and it kept firmly its 22 ranking among all domestic airports. The solid development of Guiyang airport has laid sound foundation of airport logistics development. In the past few years, Guiyang province has maintained double-digit GDP growth rate, and its industrial structure keeps on adjusting and upgrading. The support to high-tech and green industries has brought huge market demand of the airport logistics development. Presently, Guiyang airport logistics is still in its early stage of exploration, and the airport logistics park is under construction as well. So the academic research on Guiyang airport development becomes necessary.This paper firstly reviews current foreign and domestic researches on airport logistics and gravity model, and summarizes experiences of typical international airport logistics, to provide reference to further study. Later on, we starts from two aspects, the overview of current status and future development analysis, to analyze Guiyang airport logistics, which includes a general review of economic state of Guiyang, the current status of Guiyang airport, the market analysis of airport logistics and freight volume prediction of Guiyang airport in future period. Then based on gravity model and field intensity model, this paper quantize the gravitational and radiative effect of Guiyang airport to the major nine cities and economic hinterland in Guiyang, from which we draw that the potential of Guiyang airport logistics should not be underestimated and it will go on keep its rapid momentum in future period to come. In the end, based on the current status of Guiyang airport, this paper provide corresponding suggestions from five perspectives, the airport logistics park construction, the operation process, the security regulation capacity, the nurturing of talents and local government supports, to ensure orderly and healthy development of Guiyang airport in the ferociously competitive market environment.
