As the bearing of historical character and events, historical and cultural bl ocks plays an important role in the development of feature traditional culture.In recent years, with the development of urbanization and the out-of-date prot ection concept of historical and cultural blocks, the development and protection of historical and cultural blocks are facing severe challenges. And as the Chin ese government plays special attention on the protection of historical and cultur al blocks, how to balance the protection and development of historicaland cultu ral blocks has become a focus of theory and practice.In this paper, empirical research methods were used to explore visitors’ au thenticity content;relationship between authenticity perception and visitors’ satisf action; and the introduction of tourism motivation, a moderator between authent icity perception and tourist satisfaction. The results found that: authenticity perc eption was significantly positively related to visitors’ satisfaction,and the three dimensions of authenticity affect tourists’ satisfaction differently.For historical an d cultural blocks tourism, visitors with different motivations, the relationships on the authenticity perception and tourists also differ.objective authenticity and the constructed authenticity are more important to enhance the construction of t ourist satisfaction.The results show that the future protection and development of historical a nd cultural blocks should be focused on embodying traditional culture. At the s ame time, historical and cultural district of tourism product design should be e mphasized for different tourists’ motivations.Through the personalized developm ent of historical and cultural district tourism, so as to serve tourist and protect historical and cultural blocks.
