Study On Human Capital And City Competitiveness Of The Yangtze River Economic Belt

After twenty-first Century, with the influence of economical globalization, the key endogenous variables in the economic growth are the progress of technology and the accumulation of human capital have an impact on the economic development of the situation. With the rapid development of economy at the same time, the competitive relationship between the city becomes stronger. In the growing influence of knowledge economy, human capital has become one of the most important aspects.City competition has become anew research direction, the competition between the city can show a variety of forms, but the same is the focus of economic development of the contest. To stand out in the development is that a minimum investment necessary to obtain the maximum amount of output. Human capital in the investment is a key factor. Human capital investment structure and quality will directly determine the competitiveness of the city. So to urban competitiveness issues of human capital investment is very importantly theoretical and practical significant, and the city’s development will have a far-reaching impact.In this paper, It bases on the reference and learns domestic and foreign scholars’ research results. First, It defines human capital and city competitiveness. The research and analysis of the human capital investment and city competitiveness from the perspective of theory. The relationship between human capital and urban competitiveness is also studied.. It is found that human capital plays an important role in urban competition. Second, This paper expounds the forming elements of human capital and the model of city competition. The analysis of the theory of human capital and urban competitiveness, which can ensure the follow-up analysis, has a strong theoretical basis. Third,it expounds the methods of analysis used in this study, introducing and describing the principles of human capital on the Yangtze River economic belt indicators selected and build indicators selected, as well as indicators of urban competitiveness selection principle, constructed the index system.Then it analyzes the Yangtze River Economic Belt, from the point of view of the reality of the situation affecting the development of the Yangtze River economic Belt cities as well as the impact of important economic development.so that it can provide the basis for the empirical analysis.Fourth, an empirical study of the central city of the Yangtze River Economic Belt of the human capital and the competitiveness of the city is to be used, through the 2012 data of the Yangtze River Economic Belt urban development principal component analysis,it can obtain differences in human capital investment in urban centers and urban differences in competitiveness. Also human capital and urban competitiveness conducted a linear regression, regression models significantly, both have significant links.That is to say, Human capital has a significant role in promoting the development of city competitiveness. Fifth, it provides specific suggestions in line with the urban development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt based on the results of the empirical analysis of the above in this study. Looking to the Yangtze River Economic Belt urban construction and development of the future, China’s economic development has entered into a new stage.
