X company provides cargo storage, stock management, container loading and transportation services. After 5 years’ rapid growth, X company encountered two main problems since 2012: the stagnation of new business development and the problem in operations. In order to deal with these problems, we conduct a survey on the strategy of warehousing industry by using canvas strategy model. As a result, we find that there are two main aspects regarding to the operation that X company need to improve: daily operations control and systems support. Based on the survey result and our analysis, we diagnose each step of daily operational processes and propose various improvement methods; In terms of the system support, binding with customer relationship management, we show the importance of increasing the value of system which can provide a broad information sharing and customized services. |
