With the development and furt her development of hydr opower r esources in China,the development of hydropower resources a t this stage has been gradually to the valley of the. Jinsha River, the Nu Ri ver, Dadu River, Ya long River, the Yarl ung Zangbo River.Hydropower development has presented t he characteristics of r iver basin, the market,the large s cale. The hydropower station’s traffic highway construction as a symbol of the power s tation preliminary work has become a basic work in t he process of basin hydropower development. However, in t he pr ocess of facing special highway traffic ea rly in the cons truction of unpredictable factors more each hydropower station, so it is nec essary to find a better sc hedule management a ppr oach to the implementation of the project schedule manageme nt.In the current process of project construction manageme nt, the schedule management method is more cr itical path method. Whether the employer according to the node sc hedule objectives proj ect proces s needs and overall goal of the project deve lopment requirements of t he project to develop the overall pr ogres s of the project,or the contractor ac cording to the construction schedule contract requireme nts, most of the Gantt c hart and network chart. Be cause of the crit ica l path method is c oncise and universa l, critical work obvious characteristics, the crit ica l path method in project management is widely used. But the crit ical pat h met hod in the use of the process t here are many shortc omings. Such as critical pa th method in large- scale proj ects deal with compl ex, Gantt c hart, networ k diagram is easily, or graphi cs complex, increase reading difficulty; wit hout considering the task duration uncertainty or by using the probability distribution of t he task dur ati on estima tion bias; wit hout considering t he resource constra ints. Critical chain method proposed by Dr. Goldratt jus t t o make up the defect of critica l path method, it not only considers the time paramet er, considering the restriction of r esources, in determining the t ime parameters critical chain method t o elimina te the a rtifi cial factors, try t o compress individual dura tion of work, so as to s horten t he construction period, and finally by setting the project buffer, feeding buffer,resources buffer to deal with t he project schedule may be encountered in risk management, so as to ensure that the projec t can be completed according to plan. Thetheory of critical cha in project manageme nt with its nove l and the use of a critical path method of complex rea sons is not widely used project management.Aiming at this problem, this paper uses the traditional critical path method and critical chain method to research the highway project pr ogress pl an, combined with the KY highway A proj ect schedule design, expl ore the optimization scheme of t wo kinds of schedule management methods,use t he critical chai n method to pre pare the sche dule better. At the sa me time, this paper analysis of the KY highway A section of project s chedule ma nagement, and briefly analyzes t he reasons behi nd schedule, summarizes the management experience. This res earch can pr ovide a us eful reference for s chedule management of domest ic highway engineering project or similar engineering project.
