Research On Pattern Development And Co-evolution Of Materials Procurement In International Contracting Project

Along with the continued opening of the international construction market, international contracting project (ICP) industry developing rapidly, leading to the intensified competition in overseas market. In this situation, the role of materials procurement has become increasingly important, more and more ICP enterprises have regarded it as "the third profit source", the materials procurement management have received great attention.Taking materials procurement in ICP as the research object, this thesis at first comments the research of engineering project materials procurement management at home and abroad, and then reviews and summarizes related theories status, try to analyzes the following key issues:Firstly, considering the complicated environmental characteristics of materials procurement in ICP, the thesis proposes the question of the turbulences of materials procurement environment, analyzes its definition, dimensions and units. In order to reveal the mechanism of environmental turbulences, this article identifies the procurement environmental impact factors and uses ISM method to hierarchy analysis on these factors. Secondly, according to the evolution of project materials procurement management, this thesis analyses the evolution factors of materials procurement patterns in ICP and discusses the evolution characteristics of stakeholders organization relationship and procurement processes, then summarizes a progressive evolutionary path of materials procurement patterns in ICP. By comparing characteristics, advantages, disadvantages among procurement patterns, discusses patterns’ selection and optimization problems in ICP. Finally, on the basis of dynamic capabilities and co-evolution theory, this thesis analyses definition, characteristic and force factors of ICP materials procurement co-evolution, builds and analyses its four ability dimensions, including environmental perception ability, adapt ability, absorption ability for organization learning, and communication and coordination ability. Then puts forward corresponding strategies for implementation of materials procurement co-evolution.The results provide a reference for China international contractors to identify and respond the environmental turbulence actively, and help to choose the right materials procurement that match the environment and its own development. And more, the study using new ability and theoretical system would provide some ideas, in the solving of such kind of problems, so as to benefit the improvement of the materials procurement management of the china international contractors.
