Evaluation Of County-level Transport Superiority Degree In Yunnan Province

Transportation plays an important and basic role in regional development. This study takes Yunnan province as a case and its 129 counties as basic unit for analysis. Choosing 3 indexes, including transport network density, proximity and transport superiority degree of location, to construct the spatial model to evaluate transport superiority degree firstly. Then, by using GIS buffer technology, studied spatial pattern and the characteristic of temporal change of transport network in 2002, 2008 and 2012 in Yunnan province.The results showed that, firstly, transport superiority degree was overall low in Yunnan province, most counties was lack of transport superiority degree, it was low that the support capacity and security level of transportation facilities for regional development in Yunnan Province. Secondly, there were great differences in spatial distribution patterns of transport superiority degree in Yunnan province. On the one hand, it’s core-periphery distribution pattern was obvious. Yunnan Central Urban Agglomeration, as the core, the farmer from it, the lower of county-level transport superiority degree. On the other hand, "Yunling-- Yuanjiang River Valley" as the boundary line, eastern area is higher than western area for county-level transport superiority degree. What’s more, it was obvious that county-level transport superiority degree in Yunnan Central Urban Agglomeration, it was high that the support capacity and security level of transportation facilities for these regional development. However, some area is very low like northwestern area of Yunnan province. It was extremely low that the support capacity and security level of transportation facilities for these regional development. In addition, it was obvious that regional transport superiority degree like Gejiu-Kaiyuan-Mengzi Thirdly Urban Agglomeration, Dali city and Qujing city. Lastly, it was high that the transport superiority degree of the center of city and Autonomous Prefecture. In the recently 10 years, it was not obvious that the change of spatial distribution patterns of transport superiority degree in Yunnan province. But the regional differences increased between county.At last, we analyzed the factors of the spatial distribution patterns of transport superiority degree in Yunnan province. And give the advice to transportation development for Yunnan province.
