Lily is a multipurpose plant that is widely distributed in China. Longshan County is the largest county of cultivated lily, and it has50years of history in artificial lily cultivation. The lilies produced are white, bitter, and rich in organic selenium and colchicine, which is favored by consumers. Longsan’s lily is currently the country’s largest production base in China, and its acreage and production value is ranked first in the country,"Longshan Lily" has been approved for registration as a national geographical certified trademark. The lily industry has now become a pillar of Longshan County’s industry. However, the inadequate construction of water conservancy facilities in recent years has impeded Longshan County’s lily product quality and yield improvement, severely restricting lily’s sustainable development in Longshan County.Much attention was paid to the analysis of the existing problems of the farmland water conservancy facilities for lily production in Longshan County, and corresponding ideas and measurements, including strengthening awareness and responsibilities of leaders, establishing a diversified financing mechanism, conducting fast-tracks for special items, establishing a multi-layered management system and optimizing the management level, building a supervision system, and increasing the risk management of water conservancy facilities, were proposed for the sustainable development of Longshan County’s water conservancy facilities. Based on the strengthen water conservancy construction, the mechanism that scientific irrigation improved yield and quality of lily was discussed, which would provide theoretical and practical guidelines to promote the yield and quality of lily in Longshan County.
