Aluminum industry is one of the traditional high energy consumption, high emission, high pollution industry. From bauxite open distance, to alumina smelting, aluminum electrolytic and aluminum processing, a series of production process need to consume large amounts of energy, is carbon emitters. In addition, in recent years, the aluminum industry facing the large-scale comprehensive loss, serious overcapacity, and gradually appear the phenomenon such as cost down. Therefore, the research of Chinese aluminum industry economic performance and low carbon performance as well as the coordinated development of economy and low carbon has a extremely urgent importance.In this paper, the main research content has three aspects:First of all, the economy of China aluminum industry performance and performance of the low carbon concept defining, and respectively to build economic performance evaluation index system and index system for performance evaluation of low carbon. Economic performance evaluation index contains vitality, profit ability and contribution to the development of economic scale, the ability to four aspects; Low carbon performance evaluation indicators include energy consumption, material consumption and technical progress in three aspects. And based on the variation coefficient method to eliminate the system identification index of ability are relatively low.Second, based on the analysis of common defects on the basis of performance evaluation in this paper, based on PLS path model to measure aluminum industrial economic performance and low carbon performance. By building a model is built, inspection sheet once, PLS path graph and the regression equation, respectively to measure the Chinese aluminum industry in2001-2013economic performance and low carbon performance. The results show that the economic performance in the overall level of performance and low carbon shows a tendency of increased volatility; Chinese aluminum industry still is given priority to with the extensive development; The corresponding low carbon technology has made certain achievements.At last, this article is based on the concept of coordination degree respectively to measure the aluminum industrial economy and the degree of internal coordination of low-carbon subsystem, using the dispersion coefficient to minimize the coordination degree model to measure the aluminum industrial economy and the degree of absolute coordination between low carbon system, and based on absolute coordination degree to measure the degree of coordinated development between economy and low carbon system as well as the coordination development level trend index. The results show that the internal coordination degree of economic subsystem and low-carbon subsystem on the whole are showing a different levels of growth, the economy and low carbon subsystem are realized by the imbalance state and coordination; The degree of absolute coordination between economy and low carbon system are above0.85, absolute coordination better; Degree of coordinated development between economy and low carbon system is showed increased the trend of the fluctuating largely achieved by the disorderly state to orderly state; Economy and low carbon system between the coordination development level trend index greater than1, the system between the coordination development level trend growing.
