The human resource management function role of commercial banks has changed from the traditional personnel management function role to the strategic human resource management function role in new economic era. Compared with foreign commercial banks, China’s commercial banks still lag behind in human resource management area. To improve China’s commercial banks’market competitiveness, we must improve the competitive advantage of human resource, build strategic human resource management system.This paper selected Jinan branch of Ever Growing Bank as the main object of study, to look for ways to improve human resource management, so that China’s small and medium banks can improve their competitiveness.First, this paper introduced the development stages of human resource management and the main research results of strategic human resource management. Second, this paper analyzed the status and problems of Jinan branch of Ever Growing Bank’s human resource management and analyzed the competitive environment the bank faced. Then, according to the strategic development direction of the bank, this paper constructed the strategic human resource management model; put forward a new concept of human resource management in human resource planning, compensation management, performance management, personnel training and other field, to provide human resource support for Jinan branch of Ever Growing Bank’s strategic objectives.
