In recent years, knowledge-base employees in every industry in China are highly mobile. According to the incomplete statistics, in the past2013, the turnover of knowledge-base employees in domestic high-tech enterprises is about8%. It has a significant compact on the related businesses/organizations or ever the entire job market. And so, how effectively and continually manage the knowledge-base former employees is gradually becoming a plagued problem to various companies/organizations, especially to the high-tech enterprises. This thesis is focused on exploring the true meaning of continuity management upon knowledge-base former employees, proposal to develop appropriate policies and take appropriate measures in order to reduce the turnover of knowledge-base employees, and then achieving the purpose of economic benefits improved directly or indirectly.At present, the continuity management upon knowledge-base employees in China’s enterprises/organizations is still in its infancy, and basically, there is no systematic, theoretical and standardized management system about it. Most of the enterprises/organizations even aren’t conscious of continuity management. Then, this thesis uses several methods of empirical research, such as individual interviews and statistical analysis, etc. And takes the XX-company as an example, based on document retrieval and overview of existing research results, the effective theoretically practical model about the continuity management upon the knowledge-base former employees is constructed through the detailed analysis on the process carried out by the XX-company when manages the knowledge-base former employees (note:this paper mainly focuses on the knowledge-base former employees who leave the company "actively", the "knowledge-based employees include the employees who are ready for leaving and the ones who have already left the organization), and through making several theoretical assumptions based on the actual situation. Compared with the existing domestic research results, this thesis achieves many innovations, such as based on the continuity management of XX company, describes the necessity and feasibility of continuity management in detail, and so, when the enterprises/organizations build the model of continuity management according to their status and circumstance, this is their reference only. Currently, enterprises/organizations in China who have developed a clear and detailed continuity management system on knowledge-base former employees and strictly implemented are still rare. Therefore, the study of this thesis has certain exploration and practice. And it has some practical significance on human resources management of enterprises/organizations.This thesis consists of six chapters. The first chapter is an introduction and theoretical explanations and summaries:introducing the research background, contents, methods and their significance; and summarizing the relevant research results at home and abroad; then comprehensive discussions on knowledge-base employees and continuity management. The second chapter is the situation analysis:detailing the status of knowledge-base former employees of XX-company and its continuity management, finding the problems and experience on its continuity management system under detailed analyzing the actual situation. The third chapter describes the basis of XX-company developing continuity management system:emphasis on the macro and micro environment analysis. Chapter IV and Chapter V is the key chapters of the thesis: combined with continuity management system of organizations abroad with a comparative study and taking this as a draw, it is constructed a model of continuity management upon knowledge-base employees suiting for domestic high-tech enterprises, and its feasibility. Chapter VI is a summary and outlook, and the general summary of all contents included in this thesis.
