Foundry industry is an important part of the automotive industry; especially the engineblock casting is extremely complex high-end castings. Production continuity affects a lot tothe costs and efficiency of a foundry factory. Molding line, as one of the most important partof a foundry factory, improve its efficiency means higher production continuity, so thecompany can service its customers better and obtain sustainable development.Through the molding line in Second Foundry Plant of FAW. Analysis it with projectmanagement theory, and formulate countermeasures to solve its problems. We first introducesome back ground information of the case, talk about why there are gaps between Chineseenterprises and European enterprises, then boot out the important problem to every foundrycompany—improve production efficiency of the molding line. Second, we describes thecondition of FAW Second Foundry Plant and its molding line, describes the problems of themolding line. Then we use the equipment management and human resource managementmethod to analysis why the molding line works in a low efficiency, and find the root reason.Third, based in related theory, combine the actuality of the molding line; develop appropriatemeasures to solve the problems, mainly elaborated from the equipment managementmethods and basic management improvement sides. Finally, we use truthful data to provethe countermeasures in this article can really solve the problems of efficiency improve with amolding line, and to refine the essence of countermeasures.Hope that results of this study can play a reference to automation productionmanagement, especially molding line production efficiency in a foundry company. |
