NHI Group Steel Rolling Mill and Forging Press Equipment Branch is subsidiary of North Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd.(NHI), which is a large milling and forging equipment supplier, therefore, the equipment delivery issue plays a crucial role in the company’s performance and profit. However, due to various reasons, in many projects’schedule exists problem lead to tardiness in delivery. To improve the project schedule management effectively has been a urgent problem to solve for our company.In this paper mainly adopts the method of analysis actual cases, make research on project schedule management of NHI Group Steel Rolling Mill and Forging Press Equipment Branch, doing investigations to discuss the implementation of project progress management. And at last, by virtue of related theories, puts forward improvement measures and programmes.First of all, this paper introduces the main situation of NHI Group Steel Rolling Mill and Forging Press Equipment Branch, and characters of its projects, project process and organization form, on the basis of the above-mentioned, summarize the recently period of projects on Rolling equipments, points out the related problems of the project schedule management during the execution in the whole process, and analyses the harm it caused to the project or company. Secondly, based on the theory of project schedule management, identify the key factors:the organization needs to be improved, imperfect preparation and project schedule control, supplier management is out of control, the construction of the management team exists obstacles, lack of project schedule management system etc. Finally, according to the characteristics of projects of NHI Group Steel Rolling Mill and Forging Press Equipment Branch, propose several methods to improve the progress of the project management, respectively are:improve organizational structure, improve project preparation and execution level, optimize supplier management mechanism, enhance the efficiency of project management team, Improve security measures of project schedule management. Through Analysis and study the cases, hope the conclusion of the paper could contribute to the project schedule management of NHI Group Steel Rolling Mill and Forging Press Equipment Branch, at the same time, to offer a valuable reference within the industry.
