| In recent years, enterprise relocation have increasingly been paid attention by allwalks of life. However, most studies focus on the factors affecting enterpriserelocation, the way to relocate enterprise, and the influence exerted by enterpriserelocation on regional economies, but few on the performance of enterprise relocation. This thesis aims to research the difference between the factors affecting decisions ondestination and original area, which is defined as the span of enterprise relocation, andthe relationship between enterprise relocation and enterprise performance, based onthe factors that affect enterprise relocation. This thesis constructs five dimensions to evaluate enterprise relocation, whichare cost disparity, resources disparity, agglomeration scale disparity, disparity ofgovernment and marketing environment, establishes relationship model of the spanand performance of enterprise relocation based on the adjustment variable ofenterprise integration skill, controlled variable of trans-provincial relocation andmigration pattern, and then produces relevant hypothesis. The following is concludedon the basis of data analysis conducted by Excel and SPSS19.0, and these data comesfrom160valid questionnaires.First, the factors affecting enterprise relocation become increasingly diversified. With the rapid development of enterprises, comprehensive and various factors have tobe taken into consideration, therefore, a single factor is not able to decide enterpriserelocation. Certainly, the importance of these factors are different according toenterprise needs.Second, the enterprise relocation in Wenzhou grows as a whole, more and moreenterprises choose development strategies, such as headquarter, sales, research anddevelopment, production and new-built branches to achieve development goalthrough enterprise relocation. Meanwhile, relocation for several times becomes asignificant phenomenon.Third, compared with original areas, the advantages of destination do not alwaysimprove the performance of enterprise relocation. Among the five dimensions listedabove, cost and resource are easily attained and transformed into enterpriseperformance not constrained by enterprise integration. It has been proved thatagglomeration scale do not influence the performance of enterprise relocation directly and even exerts some negative effects with the increase of enterprise integration. Thereason probably lies in the fact that the advantage cannot be attained naturally, migrated enterprise need a long time to integrate into local enterprises with outsiderdisadvantage. The agglomeration scale cannot be transformed into economic resultssoon, and the enterprise with high-level integration is likely to meet awkwardsituation that knowledge spillover is greater than knowledge input in local area.Forth, the disparity of government environment dont have an effect in enterpriserelocation. The government adopts favorable measures to reduce economic burdenand transaction cost, in order to attract more enterprises and develop local economy. As for enterprises, they should use relevant government policies to improve theirperformance. However, in the system of market economy, the relationship betweengovernment and enterprises will be distorted if enterprises are over-dependent on thegovernment’s help. Avoiding market competition, to some extent, is not favorable tomarketization and development of the enterprise from a long term. |
