Management Study In Shipbuilding Technology&Production Preparation Of Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd

In recent years, with the spread of the financial crisis, the shipbuilding industries have had significant reduction on orders. Compared with those in Japan and Korean, Chinese shipbuilding enterprises ever had priority with lower labors and plenty of sources, however, with inflation and appreciation of currency exchange(CNY), profit becomes less and less, and even loss now, that is the reason Chinese shipbuilding enterprises have to improve the production efficiency so as for more profit.According to the experience of a Japanese shipbuilding company on production of VLCC,14%of production efficiency improvement comes from the process and17%comes from the equipment,44%comes from the management and25%comes from production patterns innovation. Obviously high management level is the key of efficiency improvement. Well beginning is half done, we must pay attention to the first step of the whole process, which is the Technology&Production preparation (we will say TPP hereinafter). Figuratively speaking, the TPP is like "shipbuilding blueprint on paper", and the production session is the "real shipbuilding", the efficient and orderly shipbuilding totally depend on the full, detailed and complete TPP.As a crucial role in the survival and development of the company’s future, TPP has become more and more important although it is still probing. Many companies has taken it as a special issue to study, through the analysis of production designing, materials purchasing, planning and controlling, they are seeking for management and production pattern innovation. Our present researching objective is Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Group Co., Ltd.(later referred to as the DSIC), we find the TPP problems in shipbuilding process and find out the main factors influencing the TPP problems through the statistical analysis from deliveries and factors, then put forward the corresponding solutions and safeguard measures, in order to improving the TPP management, it can reduce the delay time in production process and improve production efficiency.
