The Visualization Analysis On Chinese Management Research

With the rapid development of China’s economy, the eyes from the whole world began to focus on China, and the management mode of Chinese enterprise also attracts a growing concern. In recent years, the study of Chinese management seems to become a kind of fashion, more and more scholars have turned their attention from western management to the Chinese management, and some of them put forward many thoughts, such as Eastern management, harmonious management, He-he management, Dao-oriented management and overall management.Through the joint efforts of scholars, many visualization tools are developed. The visualization technology emerged in the field of scientific metrology and knowledge of metrology, has now been widely applied to various fields. Various fields can draw a variety of knowledge mapping according to their different characteristics, and then it will easy for people to understand structure distribution of disciplines from the perspective of graphics, which provides new methods and ideas for research of discipline structure.In this study, the data source is articles that connect to research of Chinese management from CSSCI between1998and2013,"Chinese management science","harmonious management","Chinese management practice","management in China","management philosophy","local research","He-he management","Chinese management","management with Chinese characteristics","Eastern management","overall management" and "Dao-oriented management" are chose as keywords to search literatures, after dealing with some repeating and not-related literatures,455documents are obtained.The research tool is Citespace software,a series of basic methods, such as citation analysis, co-citation analysis, word frequency analysis and social network analysis, will be adopted to demonstrate the distribution of Chinese management research and make a useful exploration to the research model of Chinese management.With co-occurrence analysis of the authors and organizations, co-citation analysis of authors, we found that Xi Youmin from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Su Dongshui from Fudan University, Zeng Shiqiang from Taiwan Normal University, Huang Rujin from Institute of Industrial Economics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Qi Shanhong from Nankai University and some others are the leaders of Chinese management research, and the cooperation among the organizations is mainly within the same organization.With co-citation analysis of the literature, we find that harmonious management is the most mature concept, and there are a lot of relevant research literatures. In addition, He-he management and Eastern management also have a certain maturity. Study the journals that publish these literatures, combined with the citation analysis of journals, it is easy to find that the articles published in "Journal of Management","Management Science","Management World","Management Engineering" and "Economic management" have a greater influence and authority.Based on the above analysis, we conclude that the current Chinese management research can be divided into two aspects, namely the theory of Chinese management and the Chinese theory of management. Research frontier includes two points, the first one is consideration of the existing research methods, and the second one is consideration of building Chinese management system. Combined with the four important meetings related to domestic Chinese management research, we can see the emphasis will be placed on both the in-depth study of Chinese traditional management culture and the standard use of research methods.
