The family farm is one of the important forms of agricultural development in ourcountry. The first time of the concept of family farm being put forward was in the2013“Central First Document”, and for the construction of the family farm, ourgovernment has paid a lot of attention to. With the development of the society, agrowing number of rural labor force is pouring into the city, meanwhile the demandfor agricultural products in the city is growing. China is an agricultural country, buthas not been an agricultural power, mostly because of the lower level of scale ofagriculture and mechanization. The emerge of family culture, promotes not only thedevelopment of agricultural economy, but also progress of agriculturalcommercialization and the overall level of China’s agriculture, leads the farmers to anew road to agricultural development in the modern environment.The large-scale operation and mechanization management of family farm not onlyconforms to the law of the modern agriculture development, but also solve theproblem of the gradual reduction of rural labor. It is an intensive way of modernagricultural production, and the mode of production has made some practical resultsin many areas in China. Xinjiang region is sparsely populated and has the naturalcondition fro the development of the family farm. In addition, the practice of theconstruction of the family farm has been begun since the early years of the foundingof new China, also with some results achieved already. However, the survey foundthat although the family farm has been developed in the region of Xinjiang Kuqa,some problems restricting its development also exists, such as the farmers’ lacking ofagricultural knowledge, the not high fine-degree of mechanization operation, the lackof willingness of pursuing the modern agriculture development mode, the serioussituation of soil erosion and the low efficiency use of water, the low technology of thefamily farm, the inconvenient transportation, single plating patterns, the waste of land,and a certain capital accumulation but with weak ability of investment in theinfrastructure.The paper is divided into six parts. First of all, the background and significance ofthe study is introduced, at the same time the research results of family farm at homeand abroad are reviewed. The development history and present situation of theagriculture and family farm in the region of Xinjiang is introduced in the second part.In the third part, the paper illustrates the problems in the process of family farmdevelopment by the statistical analysis of the first hand material from investigating thescale and management of family farm in the region of Xinjiang Kuqa. The summary and analysis of the development of the family farm at home and abroad are followedin the next part. In the fifth part, strategic suggestions on the development of familyfarm in the region of Xinjiang Kuqa are provided based on the previous analysis. Atlast is the summary of the entire paper and the expectation. The paper starting fromthe status quo, guided by the theory, making a certain strategic analysis and summaryon the development of Kuqa family farm, expects to provide effective help for thedevelopment of Kuqa family farm.
