China is the world ’s largest producer and consumer of vegetables, Shandong provincehas always been a traditional vegetable output strong province in China. Shandongprovince in2013had vegetable planting area of1.81million hectares, output of93.86million tons, had the best vegetable industry development in our country. At present, thescale of production of vegetable industry in Shandong province has become increasinglystable, more active market liquidity, fruit quality has improved significantly, rising exports,showing a rapid development trend and tendencies. Especially Zibo and Shouguang, thedevelopment of vegetable industry have reached the domestic and international first-classlevel. Vegetable industry in Shandong province are able to have rapid development, on theone hand is due to adapt to the model transition of agriculture industry in China, and meetthe needs of product commercialization and marketization, on the other hand because ofShandong has advantaged resource advantage.Agricultural industrialization theory and competitive advantage theory are the twobasic theories which support the development of modern agriculture, By the support ofthese two kinds of basic theory, this paper uses dynamic analysis and static analysis,quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, case studies and general studies combinedwith many other methods, explore that there are industrializational and organizational levelneeds further promotion, processing technology fall behind and low value-added and so onabout the vegetable industry in Shandong province, and put forward measures andsuggestions to promote healthy and rapid development: raise the industrialization level ofvegetable industry in Shandong province; enhance the level of vegetable processing andget more processing additional revenue; actively explore diversified export markets,disperse vegetables operating risk; increase the intensity of technology innovation andpromotion, improve the supporting ability of science and technology; to strengthen theconstruction of government financial input and the related system and improve the policysupport capability; establish and improve the standardization of production system andquality guarantee system, improve product quality.
