In the logistics network, distribution center is an important bridge connecting supply point and demand point closely. Thus, the location of the distribution center is a core content of logistics system analysis. Reasonable location selection for distribution center plays an important role in making logistics system effective, and it is a strategic problem of logistics system planning and global optimization. In the real production and business activities, the location area already exist other distribution centers, if someone wants to locate new distribution center, he must take competition into consideration. The thesis is just based on this situation.This paper firstly introduces the background and significance of the topic, and describes the research status of location selection, then makes a detailed overview on the concept and function of distribution center. Secondly distribution center location principles and influence factors are analyzed, and existing methods of distribution center location are summarized. Finally a multi-distribution center location model under competition is provided and improved ant colony algorithm is used to solve this problem. The main contents of the research are as follows:(1) Model building. I took competition effect into account, and provided a model of multi-distribution center location under competitive. Based on the existence of competition between distribution centers leading to the distribution of the demand, the model considered two factors——the distribution quantity and cost.(2) Improving algorithm. In order to improve the shortcomings——long searching time and easy to fall into local optimum of the algorithm., I tried a way of pheromone increment adaptive adjustment to improve the algorithm, and verify its performance.(3) Application example. Based on the simulation example, I applied the new improved algorithm of this article to the model of multi-distribution center location under competitive. The result showed that the model can better describe the problem of multi-distribution center location under competitive and the improved ant colony algorithm is reasonable and effective.
