Logistics Project Design Base On Project Management

This paper focus on giving a solution to the project of international BULK chemical cargo delivery of a famous company D. Currently, the common delivery mode of BULK chemical cargo is using Bulk freighter or Bulk vessel. But this modal request largo volume and consignee should have BULK chemical terminal and professional equipment and staff. At the same time, this delivery mode also has huge delivery cost and daily maintain cost. This paper aim at moderate volume BULK chemical cargo delivery, try to use the method of project management to lead and design the logistics project of BULK chemical cargo, such as life cycle of project development, Project organization structure and people management and the sense of Project evaluation, design out this logistics project and analysis it finally.In recent years, logistics plays a more and more important function in the national economy and the competition among enterprises. The traditional competition is becoming a new competition among supply chain. Chemical industry, as a foundational industry, also is restricted to the service and cost of supply chain.At the same time, the ideas of project management affect many people. More and more companies and organizations use the idea of project management to handle new business or design new business and service. And the project management makes very good result. Under this condition, this paper also applies the idea and method of project management to design a logistics project of BULK chemical cargo according the actual business condition of company D.By means of project management, the writer design the life cycle of the project, analysis project requirements, propose Demand forecasting model, plan the delivery Transport routes, chose logistics service vender by using Supplier selection model. The projects were implemented successfully, and meet the goals.This paper provides a successful solution to the new logistics request finally. And this research proved that using the idea of project management in logistics program design area is useful, scientific and efficient.
