A Research Upon Urbanization And The Third Industry Interaction Development In Three Provinces And One City In Yangtze River Delta

For a long time, the urbanization has been a hot topic of experts and scholars among all countries, and also the central mission of state and government. With the progressing of urbanization, the experience of all countries has proved that there is a strong link between the development of urbanization and industry, especially the third industry, and so does China. The urbanization in China doesn’t enjoy an early beginning, but develops at a high speed, which thanks to the experience of other countries. In 2013, the index of urbanization of China has reached up to 53.73%. Meanwhile, the industrial structure gets further optimized, especially the third industry. Along with the increase in the third industry sector,there is an increasing demand for labor resources which encourages more population surging into cities, which further improves the level of urbanization. Therefore, there is a strong link between the development of urbanization and industry.This essay further analyzes the interaction relations between urbanization and the third industry upon the researches before, using Yangtze River Delta as an example. It is the highest level of urbanization in Yangtze River Delta, which has a strong relation with the high speed development of the third industry. To discover the relations between them can bring an exemplary role to other areas. The analysis of the differences between the three provinces and one city can provide a theory foundation to them, and to promote the further development of the urbanization and the third industry in Yangtze River Delta.This essay has a clear structure which is divided into 5 parts.The first part describes the background and the meaning of this topic to certain the thoughts and framework and guide the further direction of this topic. Meanwhile,reviewing and summarizing the researches of both domestic and foreign experts to do a further research on the interaction relations between urbanization and the third industry in Yangtze River Delta.The second part studies the inner relations between urbanization and the third industry.Definite urbanization and the third industry and describe their development, especially the main factors that influence the development of them. The migrant population come into cities can meet the great need of labor sources on the one hand, and on the other hand the development of the third industry can attract more population for the cities, and that is to say, the two sectors have a naturally theoretical relation.The third part introduces the basic situation of the urbanization and the third industry in Yangtze River Delta, the current condition of cities scale and development, the entire development level and the inner development at all levels of the third development of the three provinces and one city, the non-balance of development, and the great opportunity of further development, in order to provide a theory foundation for the following empirical research and policy advices.The fourth part analyzes the relations of the urbanization and the third industry interaction development in three provinces and one city in Yangtze River Delta in the empirical way. The author chooses the data of 15 years(1999-2013) to build a panel data model, and uses grey correlation method to analyze the relations of the urbanization and the third industry in Yangtze River Delta in the last 5 years, which further illustrates there exists a strong relation between urbanization and the third industry in this area.The last part talks about the conclusion and advices. In view of the specialty of the Yangtze River Delta region, we will continue to improve the traffic system, focus on developing the second and third level of the third industry, and adhere to the “One Primary and Three Secondary” development strategy of urbanization of the surrounding area and the promotion of the third industry development level. Decease the gap among the three provinces and one city by communicating with each other, and develop differently according to the different influence degree of the provinces of the interaction relation of urbanization and the third industry. And pay more attention to the population factors on the influence of urbanization and the third industry, and strive to achieve coordinated development of urbanization and the third industry in Yangtze River Delta.
