The economic competitiveness is a measure of a country’s overall ability of the industry, which in the past few years has been actively discussed. On one hand, the lack of competitiveness is considered to be one of the origins of the crisis. On the other hand, improving the competitiveness of the economy is regarded as a very important restoration measures. Therefore, the measure of a country’s economic competitiveness index is becoming more and more important, and so is the trade a country the main economic activities, the national trade competitiveness is often used for the intensity of competition between countries industry comparison. The current trade competitiveness index is a traditional export statistics to calculate, with the theory of global value chain is gradually perfect, the added value of the trade data to calculate the trade countries has become an inevitable trend.Due to the rise of the globalization of trade and production fragmentation, purely from a country’s total exports angle is not sufficient to evaluate a country’s international trade position, therefore the traditional statistics to calculate the total export trade competitiveness is no longer accurate. In order to accurately trade competitiveness index of a country’s real calculation, in addition to select the correct index to measure, but also from the trade value point of view, to analyze in the global value chain. The main purpose of GVC analysis is introduced to decompose value-added income in different countries in the global value chain. Different from the traditional method of calculation of the total export trade competitiveness, from the angle of the added value of the trade competitiveness of China Japan and South Korea will more accurately reflect the real situation of each industry trade competitiveness, in order to better compare the three national industry development present situation and the gap.This article is from the value added trade perspective, recalculated the trilateral trade competitiveness, and has carried on the comparative analysis of dynamic. The article is divided into five parts: the first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the background and significance of the topics, literature review of past literatures, and also introduces the research methods,the framework,difficulties and innovations; the second chapter introduces the related theory of global value chain, the added value of trade and trade competitiveness and realistic basis; the third chapter uses the reported data and analyze the president situation of the import and export beyond the three countries; the fourth chapter the dynamic comparative analysis of Japan and South Korea’s trade competitiveness, the main use of value-added trade calculated the revealed comparative advantage index, trade specialization index, and the added value of export trade and the traditional measurement of two point difference comparison of trade competitiveness index, the trade competitiveness of key industries of three countries; the fifth chapter puts forward to China Japan and South Korea’s policy and suggestions.
