The Lean Logistics Prospective On Processing Trade Enterprise

Processing trade in China, as the largest foreign trade, is an important manner of China’s participation in the international division of labor, the global competition and acceptance of the international industry transfer. The competitive advantage in the international market of processing trade enterprise is getting smaller and smaller with the increasing impact of financial crisis in 2008 and the increase in value of RMB. In order to realize the reduced cost and enhanced competitiveness in the international markets, "Lean thinking" has been introduced to the enterprise at all levels. In particular, the cost of Logistics plays an important role in the operation of enterprise today, Lean Logistics of processing trade enterprise is one of the most important projects in our present study of the domestic Logistics operation.Firstly, this paper summarily introduced the origin of "Lean Thinking" and the principle of Lean Logistics management theory, at the same time, the basic theory of processing trade, customs clearance and bonded Logistics Park was briefly illustrated. Logistic mode of company A was used as a research object and "Lean Thinking" was introduced to analyze the Logistics management processes. Lean improvement of supply Logistics and distribution Logistics should be introduced in order to achieve the goal of reducing the cost of company A.Secondly, the supply Logistics status of company A was analyzed in detail. It pointed out that the seaborne imports dominated the supply Logistics. Yet the proportion of shipment delay reached 10% every year for the influence of abnormal weather factors, such as typhoon and heavy fog, company A paid a huge amount of air transport expense to compensate for the abnormity. Supply Logistics of company A was leaned through the establishment of sailing fortnight forecast mechanism and ship dynamic real-time tracking mechanism, and the close combination of adjusting the frequency of production plans and the ship dynamics, which saved the cost of supply Logistics about 7.5 million RMB.Thirdly, it introduced that sales Logistics was important to company A and pointed out that some situations such as the complex and diverse Logistics mode, single transport mode and unscientific plan of transportation route existed in company A’s domestic sales Logistics. Lean improvement was carried out for sales Logistics from two aspects after analyzing the cause of the fishbone diagram. On one hand, rail transport was imported successfully which changed the situation of a single mode of transport and saved transportation expenses 0.33 million RMB half a year, through the implement of information system, the collection of information on rail transport market and the consideration and verification of cost, timeliness, safety, etc. On the other hand, company A saved transportation expenses 5.06 million RMB through the implement of Logistics mode review system, the analysis and improvement of Lean transport modes for 18 clients and the use of the methods such as re-planning routes, changing harmonization system code, etc.Finally, it pointed out that we still need research the further projects including the integration of Lean thinking and corporate culture, the inter-departmental cooperation of Lean Logistics and the gradual development of Lean Logistics on the basis of the full thesis.
