The main production of SDLX monitor and control limited company, which was founded in 1995, is the safety monitoring and control equipments for mining. Because of the rich experiences in production, stable customer resources and advanced technology, the company have a certain market share, and maintain a good business relationship with the large and medium-sized coal enterprises inside and outside the province. With the national attention to coal mine production safety and the development of coal mine safety monitoring technology, a growing number of research institutes and companies added to coal mine safety monitoring equipment industry. The competition becoming increasingly fierce. As the market demand increasing, however, the company gradually revealed a range of problems such as slowed development and business atrophy in the developing process.Changes in market and non-optimized internal resources together lead the company must obtain a new impetus to the development through transformation.Based on the theory of strategy management, especially the transformation strategy,this study on one hand, from the internal environment, analyzed the basic situation of enterprises, resources and capabilities as well as core competence, pointed out the strategic advantages and disadvantage; on the other hand, from the external environment, through PEST Analysis Model and Michael Porter’s Five Forces Model to analyze the macro and industry environment, explored the strategic opportunities and challenges of the company.At the same time, use the IFE matrix and EFE matrix to make quantitative analysis and evaluation on internal and external environment, respectively, to make sure that the transformation is necessary and feasible. Then proposed alternative strategies though taking advantage of strategic positioning.The company’s transformation need to carry on from three aspects of strategic transformation, comprehensive adjustment of products, and the change of family type management mode. Selected the transformation on product, technology, market,organization and multi-strategy as the alternative strategies. In order to make a realistic and feasible strategy, this study made qualitative and quantitative analysis on five kinds of alternative strategies, further defined the company need to implement the transformation strategy to combine the product, organization and technology. In order to achieve the strategic objectives and expected growth, the study make the corresponding strategic plan and guarantee measures on technology innovation, product upgrades, the introduction oftalent, the change of management mode, marketing and culture construction.In this study, the entire research process strictly follows the research ideas of raise problem, analyze problem and solve problem. The research results can be directly applied to guide the strategic development of SDLX Monitor and Control Limited Company.
