Research On The Quality Of Urbanization Of Anhui Province

Urbanization is a historical transformation process from traditional agricultural society which agricultural population accounts for a large proportion to the modern civilized society that non-agricultural population accounts for most. It is a kind of economic phenomenon accompanied with the process of industrialization. It is also a very important symbol of modernization level for a country or a region. The 12th five-year plan outline of the central committee of the communist party clearly put forward the overall goal of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way, and the rapid advance of urbanization is an important step to speed up the construction of a Ill-off society. The report of The eighteenth congress of the party clearly put forward the new requirements of improving the quality of urbanization. It tells us that I must pay more attention to improve the quality of urbanization in the process of it, and regard the improvement of quality of urbanization as the key step in promoting urbanization.The purpose of writing this article is to research the quality of urbanization of anhui province. This paper based on the review of past literature. At first, making an explanation for the concept of urbanization, and then draw out the definition of urbanization quality, and make explanation to urbanization quality to make a clear definition of the quality of urbanization. After fully understanding the connotation of urbanization quality, I will start trying to set up index system of urbanization quality. First, finding what theory I need in establishing an index system of urbanization quality, including the dual economic structure theory, the population employment structure theory, the ecological theory and the theory of urban-rural integration. After this, I make the outline of the overall framework of urbanization quality system, and divide the index system into four subsystem:economy, society, ecology and management. Then I start to select indicators widely and optimally for each subsystem. When selecting indicators I should obey the following principles:people-oriented principle, comprehensive principle, gradation principle. After choosing indicators, the urbanization quality index system has built.After establishing the Index system, I will begin to evaluate the quality of urbanization of anhui province. At first, I must get the data, I decide to find real data of 16 cities in anhui province. To make sure integrity and availability, I get the main source of data from anhui statistical yearbook of 2012. And then select the evaluation method, I find that the most appropriate evaluation method is Principal Component Analysis via comparative analysis. After evaluation method determined, I begin to use SPSS software to scattered many indicators into four principal components, and for each principal component I gives it practical significance, then use the principal components as clues to analyze the performance in economy, society, ecology, management and integrated of each cites, and then score each city of urbanization quality by establishing a simple model, and divided their urbanization quality into six levels:very good, good, relatively good, poor, relatively poor and very poor. As a result, the level of urbanization quality of 16 cites are obvious. Then analyze the scores of 16 cites and find the advantages and short boards of their urbanization qualities.At last, I put forward the policy Suggestions. Using the results of evaluation, I divide anhui province into four regions:The north region, the middle East region, the west region and the south region. Then find commonality and connection between 16 cities, put forward suggestions to improve the quality of regional urbanization. And then from point to surface, I put forward countermeasures to improve the whole quality of urbanization in anhui province.
