The Cell Manufacturing Systems has become a major trend in today’s manufacturing industry because of its significant feature of "three high and one low" which means high efficiency, high flexibility, high quality and low cost. At the same time, Cell manufacturing technology can effectively combine the flexibility of small-volume manufacturing with the economics of high-volume manufacturing, so it has attracted the attention of many scholars and entrepreneurs.Cell Formation is an important part of Cell Manufacturing, but also the base of Cell Manufacturing. This paper takes the U-manufacturing cell as the research object, the minimum of the total logistics costs and the load difference penalty cost as the target, get some research results of Cell Formation, the main contents include:First of all, based on the U-shaped layout of the equipments, this paper considers many factors of the enterprise production like the demand information of parts, the multi-path problem, equipment capacity limits and so on, takes the cost of intra and intercellular movements minimal and the equipment load difference penalty cost minimal as the objective function, establishes a mathematical model of Cell Formation by using mathematical programming method.Secondly, through the understanding of the basic concepts of genetic algorithms and its processes, this paper introduces a numerical example, then uses the genetic algorithm to solve the mathematical model of cell formation and draw an optimal cell division scheme to verify the feasibility of the model. In the particular operation among genetic algorithm, the paper combines the "roulette selection method" with the "Best Individual reservations methods" organically, so that the objective function can be faster and better converge to the optimal solution.Finally, combined with the actual situation of SXZR Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd, on the basis of practical investigation in the enterprise and data analysis, against the current situation and problems of the company’s machine shop of chain, applied the Cell Formation Techniques of this paper to the lean production layout transformation of the workshop, it means:implement cellular manufacturing. and arrange the equipments in the workshop as a cellular U-shaped layout. The actual operating results show that:the control of the inter and intracellular total logistics costs and the equipment load balance had been significantly improved by reconstructed. In other words, the method greatly reduces the logistics costs, balances the load of equipment and improves the production efficiency. |
