In practicing of human resource management, compensation is an important means of employee motivation. And it plays an important role in many aspects, such as, employee’s work performance, job satisfaction and employee retention condition, and so on. Therefore, almost all companies are highly valued to motivate employees by a raise means. However, in the process of raising salary, the enterprise staff will soon produce a psychological expectations that how much raise after hearing a raising salary. And we call it the raise expectations. As the enterprise staff salary expectations do not tally with the actual salary value possible, the employee’s behavior may be opposite. What are the factors influencing employee salary expectations? These factors have any importance? Different factors have differences between employees? These are the problems need to be solved in this paper.In this paper, by collecting, sorting and categorizing about the salary, raising salary, salary expectation and psychological expectations of the literature at home and abroad, and understanding the expectations of a raise in theoretical research and practice in human resource category research status and direction, it sums up the related factors of salary expectations. And then through the way of interview design and expert scoring, it determines the reasonable factors. Finally, it designs questionnaire survey for the corresponding factors.This study uses empirical method, through the analysis of effective questionnaire 579 employees, and descriptive statistics, factor analysis, the mean and standard deviation analysis, the results shows that:First, the influence factors of raising salary expectations are multi-dimensional, including cost factors, salary fairness factors, generally pay factors, individual contribution and ability, personal capital and enterprise environmental factors, etc.Second, the influence factors of employees’ raising salary expectations have importance sequence and the top three factors are pay fairness, individual contribution and ability, expenses factors and so on.Third, there are some different influencing factors of staff raising salary expectations in different demographic variables.According to the research conclusion in the end, this article puts forward to the suggestions for the enterprise management practice, and points out the shortages of this research and future prospects. |
