Study On Application Of Cleaner Production Audit In An Edible Vegetable Oil Processing Enterprise

Edible vegetable oil is a necessity of people’s daily life. With the increase of the population and the upgrading of people’s life, the sale of edible vegetable oil has been in the rise every year and the industry of edible vegetable oil has a good prospect. But some factors will impede the development of the company, such as waste water, gas and solid waste and other waste produced during the production of edible vegetable oil; the high consumption of energy especially the consumption of steam; the use of organic solvent in oil leaching. The cleaner production starts with the whole process of production and reduces the generation of waste from the source. It will enhance the utilization rate of resources and energy and bring together the environmental benefit and economic benefit. It is a valid measure to realize sustainable development by applying cleaner production to the industry of edible vegetable oil.This thesis uses the cleaner production to reevaluate the industry of the manufacture of edible vegetable oil. By applying the idea of cleaner production audit to the companies which produce edible vegetable oil, this thesis comes to the following conclusions:(1) Through the research on theory of cleaner production, it turns out that the application of cleaner production in edible vegetable oil processing industry is feasible; cleaner production audit is an effective way for the oil producing companies to conserve energy and reduce emission and forwards edible vegetable oil industry on the road of sustainable development.(2) Through the analysis of sewage produced by the oil producing companies, it finds out the potential and problems of cleaner production in edible vegetable oil. At last, we propose plans for cleaner production.(3) Through the analysis of plans for cleaner production, it finds out that cleaner production can optimize technology, improve management, conserve energy, save costs and reduce the harms brought by the production to the environment. After accounting of the implemented low cost options, enterprises can realize the economic benefit of 1 million yuan per year, including saving 1.56 million KWh of electricity, electric charge 0.98 million yuan and 300 tons of coal.(4) It expands on the problems which occur during cleaner production audit from the aspects of policy, technology, funds, goods and materials and management and then proposes relevant solutions. It clears away the obstacles during cleaner production audit which can be applied smoothly in the companies of edible vegetable oil and at the same time provides ideas and methods for other companies in cleaner production.
