The Application Of Management Maturity Models In Logistics Enterprises

With the development of information technology, competition among logistics enterprises is increasingly fierce. Third party logistics enterprises are the market main participants of modern logistics industry, in which the state of the enterprise development directly affects the specific enterprise competition strategy, thus affects its position in the market. If the third party logistics enterprises want to be in the industry as independent enterprise forms to have long-term development, they must improve their abilities that enterprises should have. And management maturity models are critical to evaluate the enterprises.From the perspective of the maturity of organization and management, this paper firstly analyzed the four typical kinds of organizational management maturity models. Based on the factors that influence the third party logistics enterprises management maturity, I established the third party logistics enterprises organization management maturity evaluation index system, I also made some exploration to the evaluations of enterprises organization management maturity levels. The main content of studies in this paper are following::Firstly, I listed the related concepts of project management maturity models, and introduced the hierarchy structures of four typical management maturity models containing the CMM,OPM3, PMS-PMMM and K-PMMM. Through comparison, I analyzed the four models with their respective advantages and disadvantages.Secondly, I used the basic theory of project management methods to study the management characteristics of the third party logistics enterprises. Based on concluding the factors that influence the third party logistics enterprise management maturity, I constructed of the third party logistics enterprises organization management maturity model.Thirdly, using the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy evaluation method, I analyzed the project management maturity of the third party logistics enterprises, proved the scientific nature and feasibility of evaluation index.Fourth, maturity model and evaluation method can be applied to a logistics company, to evaluate the maturity of enterprise, to clear its management level, pointed out the direction of the next promotion for the enterprise management level.
