The Research Into Effect Of Tourism Based Poverty Elimination On Ethnic Village

Since PPT(Pro-poor Tourism)" concept first presented in 1994, it has been paid more and more attention by experts and scholars nowadays. PPT achieved good combination between poverty elimination and tourism development. Then academics carried out a large number of related researches. Although there are lots of articles related to Pro-Poor Tourism, the research has not been systemized. At the same time, our academics’ study of Ethnic Villages Tourism poverty alleviation effect has been theoretically and practically involved but it is still in the exploratory stage. Therefore, in order to clear the Pro-Poor Tourism path effects on poverty, this thesis took tourism poverty alleviation path as the starting point of new research, based on the full understanding of the reality and characteristics of poverty alleviation, combined with the specific goal, took poverty continued to benefit as the starting point and focus, aimed to look for an effective way to make tourism effect into full play and promote tourism poverty alleviation goals achieved as soon as possible. To achieve this purpose, this paper mainly carried out document analysis and case analysis, combined with tourism, sociology, economics, geography and other subjects related to the research content, undertook analysis and research on the theme of the thesis.This paper takes the ethnic village as the research object, Hunan Phoenix Gouliang Village as a case study, undertook diversification of research to the tourism poverty alleviation effect, through the influence factors of further analysis of tourism poverty alleviation effect, adopted questionnaire survey as the quantitative research method and in- depth interviews as the qualitative research method. The case study mainly includes case data analysis, questionnaire survey, direct observation, field visits and face-to-face interviews. On the basis of investigations, this paper analyzed the effect of Pro-poor Tourism on Hunan Phoenix Gouliang Village from the actual effect, perceptional effect and the sustainable effect and put forward optimization suggestions on Pro-poor tourism development of ethnic village. Finally this paper concluded the contribution and limitation of the research and indicated the future further research orientation on ethnic village poverty elimination.
