The Impact Of Export Complexity Of Service Trade On Economic Growth In China

Along with the advancement of global service trade liberalization, as well as the rapid development and wide application of science and technology such as information technology, the world service trade has made rapid development, and become the important force to promote the growth of the economy, especially the technology intensive trade in services for the promotion of economic growth effect more apparent. In this background, this paper theoretical analysis and empirical researched the complexity of service trade export impact on economic growth.Research idea of this paper are as follows:first of all define the concept of service trade export complexity, it is used to represent economies export quality, and represent the product range of economies export, product value, or technical content; Then by building the service trade export complexity index calculated the complexity of the export of China’s trade in services; Then theoretically analyzes the complexity of service trade export on economic growth; Lastly, economic growth is as explained variables, the export of Chinese service trade complexity as explanatory variables, physical capital and export trade dependency as control variables, the service trade export complexity respectively with interest rate, wage item by item as interaction. By establishing the model, and use of unit root, co-integration, granger causality, impulse response function and variance decomposition method to empirical research the complexity of service trade export impact on economic growth.The results show that from 1997 to 2012, China’s service trade exports complexity rising stable state; Service trade export complexity is a granger cause of economic growth; When a variable in the VAR model by external shocks, the economic growth of the export trade in services from complexity of impulse response is more obvious, and more positive reaction, and also has a long persistent; There is a significant positive correlation relationship between economic growth and service trade export complexity. With the improvement of service trade export complexity, its impact on economic growth is constantly enhanced.On the basis of theoretical and empirical research, this paper holds that should pay attention to improve the service trade export complexity and use it to promote the transformation of development mode of China’s foreign trade, and puts forward the relevant countermeasures and suggestions. Under the background of the transformation and upgrading of China’s foreign trade development mode, we should vigorously develop trade in services. But advocate vigorously develop trade in services should not simply pursue the expansion of the scale, more should pay attention to the service trade export complex to ascend, so, we can more effectively promote the transformation of development mode of China’s foreign trade, and more effectively promote the development of China’s economy.
