With the continuous development of market economy, how to improve the competitive advantage has become the common direction of all the supply chains.According to the sources of the supply chain concept,we can know that the value is the most fundamental expression of the supply chain competitiveness. The value of the supply chain has been seen as a kind of long-term value which associated with supply chain development. Seeking to achieving supply chain value actually means looking for a long-term benefit,so that the supply chain can achieve the interest of business participation and consumer evenly. Supply chain value is in line with the concept of sustainable development and it can enhance the competitiveness of the supply chain fundamentally. In all links of the supply chain, transportation occupy the position of the bridge, which plays a key role for achieving the value of the supply chain. Therefore, this paper selects representative coal transportation to optimize aiming to the value of the supply chain.This paper uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis,system analysis and system simulation methods.Firstly,in the part of the theoretical study,the paper analyze the meaning of the value of the supply chain, the relationship between transportation value and supply chain value.It proposed that transportation optimization should follow the concept of the supply chain value which contain the cost and customer value,with particular emphasis on the importance of customer value. Then,in order to promote the realization of the value of coal supply chain,we introduce the principles that intermodal transport in the choice of the appropriate modes and coordinated transport should follow,which lay the theoretical foundation for the model behind. In the fifth chapter,we presented the model with objective function of customer satisfaction and cost optimization to solve real transport path selection problem.At the same time, we set a simulation experiments in the application of the model,and solve programming using optimization algorithms.The feasible solution means that the model can solve transport optimization problem with the multi-node and multi-mode based on the value of the supply chain.In addition,we verify that in the supply chain value concept,the relationship between value of time and minimizing transport cost is not completely conflict.
