The Research On Sea-rail Combined Transport Between Nanchang And Xiamen

The supply chain management,as a trend of business management in the 21^st century,stresses that an enterprise should focus on developing its core competencies, integrating internal and external resources of core enterprises to form supply chain which is based on information technology by means of contracting business out so as to make cost down possible,enhance the sensitivity of supply chain and meet the changing demand of customers.The multimodal transport,as an advanced mode of transportation,has the advantages of accessible procedure,simple and standardized documentation,safe,rapid and low-cost transportation,which will be the mainstream for inland areas international trade in the future.To carry out the strategy of developing into the pivotal port of coastal areas of southeast China,Xiamen port has launched the sea-rail combined transport between Nanchang and Xiamen with Xiamen Port Group Co.,Ltd.as its running unit since 2005.Xiamen Penavico International Freight＆Forwarder Co.,Ltd,as its subsidiary company,conducted the program actually.This thesis makes a study of the program of sea-rail combined transport between Nanchang and Xiamen conducted by Xiamen Penavico International Freight＆Forwarder Co.,Ltd.from the perspective of micro management.It analyzes the necessity of developing sea-rail combined transport,introduces the current situation as well as the situation of market competition of sea-rail combined transport,and summarize the major external problems of the program.Meanwhile,it also introduces the operating mode and business process of the program,analyzing the existing problems of the current operating mode from the perspective of supply chain management.Based on that,the thesis puts forward a new mode of sea-rail combined transport with supply chain management as its theoretical basis,the operation management and the assessment method of operation,in the hope of helping to solve the problems of the program in question.
