In recent years, with China’s accession to WTO and competition in market economy heating up, all walks of life are facing ever-growing pressure and challenges, competition for talents and brain drain have become issues of particular concerns for enterprises. In fact, the competition for market is indeed the competition for talents, which will determine the development of a company. Therefore, tapping the potential of the talents is of great importance for the development of a company, and a set of complete and reasonable incentive mechanism for achieving the full potential of the employees is a lasting motive for the long-term and stable development of a company. At present, from the current incentive mechanism applied in most enterprises, most HR managers have neglected the full incentive for the employees and have not yet established a set of complete and reasonable incentive mechanism to achieve the full potential of the employees. Finally, it will lead to higher brain drain, lower operation efficiency and competiveness and even bankruptcy. In recent years, although as the reform of Chinese enterprises deepens, more and more companies start to realize the seriousness of brain drain and the importance of inspire the most of the potential of employees, the incentive mechanism stills requires the attention of companies and the establishment of a set of complete, scientific and stable incentive mechanism is a urgent task for the enterprises on the wane.Thus, focusing on the importance of salary incentive mechanism and following the principle of "finding problems-analyzing problems-solving problems", the author takes A Ro-Ro Terminal Company as example in this paper to analyze and discuss its existing salary incentive mechanism and point out the problems and shortness, thus brings out the suggestions and measures for improving the salary incentive mechanism of the A Ro-Ro Terminal Company from the perspectives of material, position and spiritual by means of survey, questionnaire and statistics while under the guidance of classic incentive theories.It is highly necessary to establish an effective salary incentive mechanism fit for market economy to address the problems of the current mechanism in A Ro-Ro Terminal Company. From the existing research findings and her own years of expertise in HR management, the author thinks that the establishment of salary incentive mechanism in A Ro-Ro Terminal Company should insist on the integration of material, promotion and spiritual incentives so as to achieve the best performance of the employees.
