As the social economy grows, the bank industry, which is important for national economy development, takes a more leading role for the whole economy. Meanwhile, with the acceleration of economic globalization and reform of domestic financial system, and under the complex and uncertain financing environment, competitions among banks are exceedingly fierce. As for peer competition, performance evaluation could improve internal governance, motivate employees, and promote business development, which has crucial impact on increase of competition for a single bank and healthy development of the bank industry. Each bank shall establish a performance evaluation system suitable for its strategic development based on actual situation.This thesis intends to use the Xi’an branch of China Merchants Bank as the object, analyzed the outstanding issues existed in the performance evaluation system,studies the optimization and improvement of the performance evaluation system.Firstly, the thesis introduces the strategic objectives and business model of ZS Bank,analyzed the outstanding issues existed in it;Secondly,aiming at the problems in the performance appraisal system,based on the balanced scorecard performance appraisal system design steps, according to ZS bank strategic objectives and business model, from a financial customer internal processes and learning and growth dimension,designed the civil agency card,uncivil agency card and retailed agency card. Finally, this thesis analyzed potential obstacles for execution of the new performance evaluation system, and worked out guarantee measures, including employees, rules and information technology, for execution of the system.for execution of the system. Based on improvement of the balanced scorecard system, this thesis intends to explore a proper and effective performance evaluation system, in order to achieve integrity and optimization of bank resources, improve performance management of banks, and thereby promote core competition of the bank. |
