Hinterland can be divided into two parts— direct and indirect hinterland. Direct economic hinterland provides stable cargo resource; indirect economic hinterland is the robust power for the further ambition of port. Compared with direct hinterland, there are many complicated competent in indirect hinterland which makes the supplement for ports vague. Hinterland is where the goods produced and consumed, so, the accurate delineation of port hinterland is the foundation for port reasonable product arrangement and correct formulate port develop plan, furthermore, also is the premise of avoiding vicious competition and wasting resource.Influence of port hinterland of the numerous factors, presents a systematic and complex, generally reflected in the relationship close degree between port and hinterland. In the direct hinterland scope, the competition from other port is small, can be neglected, while the indirect hinterland contains the intersection of two or more ports, which led the influence in this region more complex. In the indirect hinterland, to choice the port transportation not only to consider the facilities in software and hardware, but also to consider of cost of time, fee and other elements in the whole process, another to say is when meet the cargo handling and the affiliation of ship condition, to select the comprehensive cost of transportation. In fact, the owner of port selection is the cargo transportation combined transportation options, in the academic research can assume a virtual transportation mode can realize the transport of goods, but also to achieve the minimum comprehensive cost.In order to make the scope of port hinterland division more accuracy and reasonable the development strategy research, this paper summarized the research achievements of predecessors, and through the analysis of the interaction of port hinterland economy and economic development relationship further illustrated the necessity of research on the topic; Secondly, there are the first step to division method and the second step to adjustment(that is the first step of the total range of port hinterland and direct hinterland, and the to make reasonable adjustments to the indirect hinterland) based on the theory of oil spill and traffic planning, formulated the hinterland first division model base on oil theory and indirect hinterland adjustment model based on BL(Binary Logit), then analyzed the fitness of the model and validated them by an example in this paper. Specially, the adjustment of indirect hinterland mainly on the basis of comprehensive freight transportation cost minimum principle, what is to determine the indirect hinterland of port part of the membership degree from the sight of economics; Finally, this paper compared and analyzed the difference and connection between the traditional experience of the hinterland of Xiamen port and what through quantitative calculation, fond out the problems that Xiamen port had in hinterland development practice, and given the concrete suggestions. |
