The Study On The Coordination Of The Relationship Between Urbanization And Urban Land Intensive Utilization In Chongqing

Since China’s reform and opening-up, our country urbanization level has increased significantly, which causes dramatic expansion of construction land, while the level of urban land intensive utilization isn’t high and the land is used inefficiently. Therefore, this paper discusses the coordinated relationship between urbanization and urban land intensive utilization, as well as the correct understanding of the intrinsic relationship between them. It is important theoretical and practical significance for promoting the coordinated development of urbanization and urban land intensive use.This paper takes Chongqing city as an empirical study object, study period is from 1997 to 2013, Bases on the establishment of the index system of urbanization and urban land intensive utilization, using entropy method to calculate the years of Chongqing urbanization and urban land intensive utilization of composite index, using the coordination degree model to study the coordination between development and its dynamic evolution characteristics; bases on them and to explore the mutual influence between urbanization and urban land intensive utilization and its intrinsic relation between them by using Grainger causality test, pulse response function and other econometric methods.The main research conclusions are as follows:(1) The results of the level of urbanization comprehensive index shows that comprehensive level of urbanization in Chongqing was rising from 1997 to 2013, rose from 0.2114 in 1997 to 0.7174 in 2013, the main reason of promoting the development of urbanization in 1997 is the ecological urbanization and space urbanization, but the main reason of 2013 is population urbanization and economic urbanization; Over the same period urban land intensive utilization level of Chongqing is "up after a decline", first a rapid decline happened from 0.6003 in 1997 to 0.0940 in 2000, and the a slow rise from 0.1167 in 2002 to 0.4121 in 2013.Using the intensity,the increase in consumption index, the effect of elastic index of land use and land use index such as the four partial uneven level of development, among them, the change of the land use intensity index and benefit index similar to that of "up after a decline" the evolution of the trend, consumption index volatility, and land use flexibility index after 2000 to converge to zero elasticity, and basically remain unchanged.(2) During the research period, the coordination degree of Chongqing urbanization and urban land intensive utilization is continuously improved, rising from 0.5936 in 1997 to 0.9582 in 2013.Coordination type are between reluctant coordination and best coordination; the overall coordination development level from the close coordination decline gradually rise to intermediate coordinated development, namely the coordinated development of urbanization and urban land intensive utilization is from the low level to the higher level, show that urbanization and urban land intensive utilization are tending to benign development, and the level and degree of development are rising.(3) Urbanization and urban land intensive utilization has stronger interaction, the Grainger causality test shows that urbanization is the Grainger cause of intensive utilization of urban land in Chongqing, while intensive utilization of urban land is not the Grainger cause of urbanization, mainly because the improvement of urbanization level is due to the result of comprehensive shaping of many factors. This means that the improvement of urbanization promotes urban land intensive use level of ascension. In addition, the analysis results of impulse response function shows that urbanization has obvious effects on the level of urban land intensive utilization, and the contribution of urban land intensive use level of urbanization is relatively small. At the same time, the correlation analysis results show that the population urbanization index and economic index of urbanization, space urbanization, urbanization comprehensive index and urban land use intensity index, growth in consumption index, the index of land use elastic index, the effect of land use and urban land use intensive composite index were positively correlated, and the index of social urbanization index and the effect of urban land and intensive urban land utilization comprehensive index was weak positive correlation; Ecological index of urbanization and the effect of urban land use intensity index, index and intensive urban land utilization comprehensive index are strong negative correlation, in general, the improvement of urbanization level is good for promoting urban land intensive utilization in Chongqing.
