Currently, the Chinese society is in transition period, with the refinement of social division, the contradiction among different groups becomes more intensive,many potential issues begin to arise with the economic and social development,and China has entered a period of high public crisis. During the 2000 s, the Internet,especially the mobile Internet, big data, cloud computer and other technologies have grown rapidly which has boosted the development of new media technologies greatly. With the new media technology, information will be broadcasted faster than before, and more people will be reached, this has a great impact on the public opinion. The development of new media technologies will bring new opportunities as well as challenges to China’s public crisis management reforms.Facing the new environment, how does a company handle the public crises?How does a company build a good relationship with the new media? How to utilize the new media when manage the public crises? In this research, we’ll try to give answers to the questions above, so that enterprises can learn how to utilize the new media to improve the public crisis management skills and to maintain its brand image. In a word, the author gives advises and suggestions to the enterprises as below: the enterprises should realize the importance of new media; they must take the social responsibilities, and try to minimize the damage to the company by using the new media, or the monitor function of the new media to make the risk under control even before it happens.
