With the rapid development of science and technology and social economy, the frequency of all kinds of public relations crisis becomes more and more high within the scope of the world, our country is also not exceptional, more and more serious public relations crisis events threat China’s economic development, social harmony and the socialist modernization. The government attaches great importance to the crisis management in our country; various research institutions have started relative research. However, after all, for the reason that our country starts late, there are many areas that have not been involved yet or are not covered deep.In the field of transportation, as a symbol of a city modernization, the subways in many domestic cities have been built and have been loved by the people for its safe, convenient, and comfortable features. However, compared with the conventional transportation approaches such as roads and railways, the characteristics of the metro itself determine the subway in the field of public relations crisis management is not only common with but also different from the conventional transportation approaches. In addition, due to the highly developed information technology such as network and the media, in the event of a crisis, people will pay more attention to the crisis. That will increase the probability of public relations crisis.This article selects the subway as a research perspective to explore and analyze the of public relations crisis of subway industry under today’s media era and puts forward countermeasures and Suggestions. First, this paper expounds the public relations crisis management theory and risk society theory as the theory basis. Second use the relevant files about the system and the case in xi’an subway to analyze of the public relations crisis management conditions about metro, and then combined with the analysis of transportation public relations crisis management at home and abroad, and finally puts forward the countermeasures of the public relations crisis management in the metro industry of China under the extensive media age.
