Suspension is an important component load the head flying on the HDD media surface. With the increase of HDD capacity at T level. Suspension’s Gimbal process is most different to control and forming. But in XK company in the use of mechanical forming methods. Disadvantage is:the highest yield is800/hour; easy deformation recovery; forming a one-time pass rate98%-98.5%. Resulting in serious quality problems and the cost of waste, customer risk increases, so the forming process of the new research is very necessary.The paper focus on the effect of adding laser forming to the whole production system. On the basis of various quality management practices, production, human factors engineering etc.. Design new production process. Use MSA, FMEA, DOE, SPC design, verification and monitoring the production process. XK company’s S business products with a single, large quantities of long period operation system. Implementation of limited load order scheduling, and make a reasonable layout at the work center. At the key process use human factor methods of engineering, improve the work efficiency of the effect of details.The results showed that:After carry out the new production process, The Gimbal performance enhance the quality, long period deformation, does not rebound; Laser forming process yield reached99.84%, FTY above99%; UPH reached more than1300/hour, increased by more than60%; unit production line of people support23people to reduce2.5; unit of capacity, increased to49.6per hour; customer complaint number straight down, satisfaction improved.
