Introduce the current operation system and the trend of competition faced in W escalatorcompany, put forward the current mode of operation, the importance and significance ofoptimizing, improving for S process. S process for engineering and technical process beforeformal production activities, consisting of many links of process, including value-addedactivities, non value added activities and activities of the three types of activities. How to usevalue stream distinguish, identify the types of activities of each link, eliminate waste, reducethe non value added activities, improve the efficiency of value-added activities, improve thebalance for each link of the S process, increase per capita output, shorten the nodes switch andwaiting time, optimize the process by takt time, thus shortening the whole process S deliverytime. Based on the foundation of development situation of the development domestic andoversea, the basic concept, basic principle and basic method in the research processimprovement, combined with the practical background of W escalator company, starting fromthe SIPOC in S process, use AMSE tool to process the analysis for each step, to establish thefoundation for the subsequent optimization to define the flow chart and look for opportunitiesto eliminate waste in S process of W escalator company.S process is the engineering process which is suitable for standard, commercial escalatornon-standard type, heavy escalator non-standard type, through the process series of matrix,find out the process of commercial escalator non-standard type and heavy escalatornon-standard type need urgent improvement, merge and reduce steps, optimize the allocationof human resources, improvement and application of effective tools, get rid of the waste,achieve efficiency improvement. By the current state initially draws a value stream map, thenadopt and implement effective measures and actions, after optimizing the future value streammap, to achieve the delivery of commercial escalator non-standard type engineering process isshortened from10.8days to6.5days, the delivery of heavy escalator non-standard typeengineering process by20.5days to13.4days, reduced lead time ratio was34.6%-39.8%, andthe process steps from33down to26, reduce the flow rate of the21.2%steps. Through theprocess improvement activities, W escalator company has brought greatly improvement inoperational efficiency, achieve competitive advantage for enterprise, to achieve bettercustomer satisfaction, to provide experience and reference for the similar companyimprovement activities, to make an example for continuous improvement activities.
